The Unreal Case

Formerly a mild-mannered run-of-the-mill Enlight 7237.
I started out building this case as a challenge to myself. I used to surf the
forums online, looking for case-modifying threads and any ideas that I'm sure
many of you have out there. This is the first computer I've built from the case
up, so I needed help. Many people out there offered assistance as far as case &
fan selection, AMD or Intel, etc. I was originally going to build a system based
on the BP6 and dual Celerons, but after hearing about the Athlon and everything
it had going for it, I couldn't resist. I dove into it, but in the back of my
mind, I was thinking that this had to be something special. This was after all,
my first system. I decided I wanted it to be different from anything I had seen
out there.
One small step...
I had heard about the thermal issues with Athlons and the cooling needs that had
to be met. I decided to get the biggest fan I could fit up front - a 120mm. I
started out enlarging the tiny holes on the bezel of the Enlight, but as I got
higher and had to drill my own pilot holes, they weren't lining up. So I
scratched that idea and did this...

Cutting the sheetmetal !!!
...and this. I had to buy a jigsaw to do this, and I went for it. I hacked away
at the front of the case to make room for the Sunon 120mm. It's actually cut all
the way down to that slot on the bottom. I didn't stop where it shows in the
picture. The bezel still stays on, and is a lot easier to work with. I also cut
away the inside clip that secures the bezel (too tightly I think) to the
chassis.
