NVIDIA 1.88 Detonator Reference
Drivers: One User's Experience
Wrappin' it up
I have to say that the 1.88 drivers aren't
quite up to snuff, from my experiences with them; on the other hand, I don't think they're
BAD (SURELY not as bad as I'd first thought the were, before reformatting. If you could
have heard me cursing NVIDIA... hehe...).
NVIDIA can do better, I'm sure. The 1.88
drivers, with a mild spit-shine, could be really, truly great, and I have no doubt that
they'll come through. In fact, Dwight Diercks, NVIDIA's Director of Software(?), recently
made a post to the general discussion board at Riva Zone asking for feedback. This is really encouraging, and tells me
that NVIDIA does care, at least somewhat, about the end user's experience.
Again, this is not an NVIDIA-bashing article,
but merely the "work-log" of one TNT user who's chosen to share his experience
with others. My word is not the last. I AM NOT TOM! While I did everything I could
possibly think of to rule out "user error," I understand that these glitches
COULD be caused by almost ANYTHING.
With that said, thanks for taking the time to
read. I hope this will be of at least some benefit in the long-run. As always, be cool...
