D. Rear Panel Fans:

The Parts:

  • (2) Sunon 80mm HO Case Fans

  • (2) 80mm Fan Guards

  • (16) Case Fan Screws

Step 1
 
  • Align the two 80mm case fans with the screw holes on the inside of the case above the power supply.
  • Secure the fans using the philips screwdriver and case fan screws.

 

Step 2
 
  • Assemble the fan guards with philips screwdriver and case fan screws
  • These fans are installed as exhaust fans

 

E. 7/12v Toggle Switch:

This is a miniature toggle switch, that connects to the power supply with a 4 pin connector, has a 4 pin pass through, and you can connect a 3 pin fan (or more with the use of 3 pin power splitters). This switch allows you to easily toggle between 7 volts and 12 volts which significantly reduces fan noise at the cost of some airflow.

Step 1
 
  • Custom 7/12v toggle switch manufactured by Nerdsbyte
Step 2
 
  • Plunge cut hole in the front of the plastic case panel with the Dremel tool and plunge cut tool
Step 3
  • Remove the retaining nut and washer from the assembly
  • Install the toggle switch from the rear of the panel
  • Secure the toggle switch with the washer and retaining nut
Step 4
  • Pic of finished 7/12v assembly on plastic front case panel

F. Drive Bay/ Hard Drive Cooler:

 

Step 1
 
  • Drive bay/ hard drive cooler assembly
Step 2
 
  • Slide drive bay cooler into the drive bay
Step 3
 
  • Mount the drive bay/ hard drive cooler to the drive bay using the included mounting screws and philips screw driver .
